■ Ayurveda, originating from the Sanskrit and meaning ‘science of life and longevity’, is the world's most ancient system of preventive health care. Developed in the country of India over 7,000 years ago, it is a natural approach to creating balance within the body and strengthening the body's healing abilities.
■ Ayurveda encompasses not only a healing system, but a philosophy and lifestyle as well. What sets Ayurvedic medicine apart from western medicine is that it is a complete health care system, working simultaneously on the mind, body and emotions.
■ It is important to realise that Ayurvedic medicine and western medicine are not competing; sometimes western medicine is appropriate, and at other times Ayurvedic medicine may be the key. However, Ayurvedic herbal medicine has been proven to be far more effective than western medicine when dealing with chronic conditions.

Ayurveda has a philosophy, a lifestyle and a healing system. According to ayurvedic teaching, all life is made up of five elements contained in three primary doshas (energies): pitta (fire), kapha (earth and water), and vata (air and space). The doshas are constantly changing and interacting, and if they become out of balance with each other then symptoms occur. If action is not taken to restore the balance then the symptoms advance to become an illness. For these reasons Ayurveda is concerned as much with prevention and with helping people maintain their new-found health as it is with treating disease.
Ayurveda is filled with real-life stories of people who struggled with chronic, degenerative and terminal illnesses, but found help with custom-made Ayurvedic herbal medicines. Many of these people were at first sceptical about Ayurvedic herbal treatment as perhaps you are today. However, their experience after undergoing our ayurvedic treatment has changed their life and their health for the better.
Our thoughts, our emotions, our impressions, our experiences, our diet and our lifestyle, and the weather and the seasons, all contribute to our state of health and are taken into consideration by Raj when prescribing treatment.
Raj's experience is based on many thousands of patients from Germany, Australia and New Zealand, all of whom entered the highly fascinating world of Ayurvedic medicine. While before it had appeared strange and foreign to them, they now found that they could achieve a better quality of life by integrating their body, mind and spirit. Now you read regularly in the medical newspapers of scientists all over the world who are taking a closer look to better understand how Ayurveda works, and the promises that it may hold for the future.
